Barbara Annis Selected as Board Chair

Barbara Annis has been selected as Board Chair of the HKS Women's Leadership Board for 2009-2011. She will begin her term starting July 1, 2009.

Vice-Chair Renee Fraser, Ph.D., will discuss "Knowledge Transfer from U.S. Business and Professional Organizations: A Win-Win Relationship - Business and NPOs" at the event.

Over the last decade, cooperation between businesses and nonprofit organizations has increased dramatically in the U.S. Businesses, no longer content to simply make a contribution to worthy causes, are now working with nonprofits in ways to create impact, increase NPO and corporate visibility, and reach new markets. The panel of experts will explore the how, why, and when of this kind of collaboration by sharing their relationships and addressing cause-related marketing, social enterprise, and sponsorships.

Bi-Annual Meeting Summaries

The Women's Leadership Board holds biannual board meetings on the Harvard University campus in the spring and fall. These meetings are designed to inform members of current programs and research being undertaken at Harvard University concerning the advancement of women and girls globally, to provide for interaction with current and future emerging women leaders, and to enhance awareness of related work undertaken by WLB members in their individual arenas.
