     Yuhki Tajima is currently a fellow in the Order, Conflict, and Violence Program in
     Yale University's MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies.  He is currently

     completing his dissertation at Harvard University on Ethnic Violence during 
     Democratic Transitions.  He employs fieldwork, formal modeling, and statistical
     methods to explore questions on Ethnic Conflict, Civil Wars, and Informal Institutions. 
     During over two years of fieldwork in Indonesia and East Timor, Yuhki has conducted
     in-depth interviews with former combatants, internally displaced persons, and
     government officials.  He has been working on a set of projects based on eleven
     months of fieldwork in post-war Aceh, Indonesia and a representative survey of over
     1,000 former insurgent combatants and 3,500 civilians to explain post-war economic
     outcomes and war-time spatial variation of violence.
