Convener: William Clark
Description: Sustainable development has emerged, in the words of UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, as one of the three great challenges facing the international community in the opening decade of the new millennium. Long an arena of activism and practical experimentation, sustainable development has more recently begun to build a tradition of critical scholarship. In 2003-2004 this occasional speaker series hosted presentations and discussions of such scholarship by researchers from Harvard and visitors from the wider world.
Audience: Graduate students, fellows, research staff, and faculty
