Biography:

Hauke Kite-Powell is a Research Specialist at the Marine Policy Center of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) and a Lecturer in the Ocean Engineering Department at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He studied naval architecture, marine engineering, and management and economics at MIT.  Dr. Kite-Powell’s research interests include the economics and public and private management of marine industries and resources including maritime transportation, fisheries and aquaculture, and ocean observing systems.
