This comprehensive program provides students with a practical, firsthand look at how the United States government works.
Interns gain invaluable experience in the integral workings of Capitol Hill and the public policy process while working in Congressional and other political offices in Washington, DC. Interns also learn about the pressing issues facing the Indian American community and strategies to help their communities from our staff in Washington, DC.
The program lasts for ten weeks, from June 2, 1997 to August 8, 1997. Interns are awarded a stipend for their participation in the program.
The Washington Internship Program is open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students in good academic standing.
