A fourth generation Oklahoman, Pete has been a "doer" in the realm of civil society since working afternoons and summers with inner city children during high school. Since then he has held elective office, chaired the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments, and served non-profit agencies as diverse as RAIN-Oklahoma, World Neighbors, the Citizens League of Central Oklahoma, and Humanities in Oklahoma. He is a co-founder of MetaFund, the largest non-profit multi-bank community development financial institution in the United States.

He is a member of the Oklahoma Academy and Leadership Oklahoma City as well as a member of the Board of Visitors of the College of Arts & Sciences of the University of Oklahoma. Pete has published several articles and taught many banking and continuing legal education programs.

Following undergraduate work in classical languages at the University of Oklahoma, Pete earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University. After years of private pratice, he joined First Bethany Bancorp, a $100 million family-owned financial holding company, as its President. He also devotes significant time to MetaFund. He lives in Norman within the sound of the Sooners.
