Bliss W. Browne is the creator of IMAGINE
CHICAGO, an intergenerational initiative to cultivate hope
and civic commitment among the people of Chicago. She is an ordained
Episcopal priest, and was formerly a corporate banker and Division
Head at the First National Bank of Chicago.
She has served as Chairman of the MidAmerica Leadership Foundation,
Chairman of the Center for Neighborhood Technology, Trustee of the
Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions, Trustee of the
Chicago Sunday Evening Club, Director of ArchWorks, and Advisory
Board member of Public Allies. She is on the Community Advisory Council
of the Chicago Historical Society and the Field Museum.
Bliss Browne is a graduate of Yale University (B.A. in 1971 in History),
Harvard Divinity School (M.Div. in 1974 in Theology), and the Kellogg
School of Management at Northwestern (M.M. 1978 in Finance).
