The Training for Newly Elected Officials
is held each winter and has reached over
55 elected officials in the past three years
at both the municipal and state level. The
2001 and 2003 trainings were for municipal
officials and covered topics such as planning,
education, finance, and transportation. Municipal
officials were able to discuss public policy
issues with experts such as Gina McCarthy
of the Office of Commonwealth Development,
Eleanor White of Housing Partners, Inc.and
Richard Weissbourd of the Graduate School
of Education.
