RAPPAPORT INSTITUTE ANNOUNCES 2008 RAPPAPORT PUBLIC POLICY FELLOWS During the Rappaport Institute's Spring Advisory Board Meeting, the 2008 Rappaport Institute Public Policy Fellows were introduced. Thirteen students were chosen from eight schools to participate in our 10-week summer fellowship. These students will work at state or local agencies for twelve weeks during the summer. (MORE)

RAPPAPORT INSTITUTE RELEASES WORKING PAPER ON CRIME IN BOSTON A new Rappaport Institute Working Paper by Anthony Braga, David Hureau, and Christopher Winship has been released. This paper, entitled "Losing Faith: Police, Black Churches, and the Resurgence of Youth Violence in Boston" focuses on the upsurge in youth violence after the "Boston Miracle" of the 1980s. (MORE)

REDUCING YOUTH VIOLENCE: The Rappaport Institute releases policy brief by Renee M. Johnson, Deborah Azrael, Mary Vriniotis and David Hemenway, all of the Harvard School of Public Health on the 2006 Boston Youth Survey, an in-school survey of more than 1,000 Boston high school youth. (MORE)
