Notes on Microeconomic Theory

The following notes are meant to accompany API 109i and API 111 / Econ 2020a / HBS 4401.  They provide commentary on the text and contain most of what I cover in lecture.  However, they are not meant as substitutes for the text or lectures, which are the ultimate guide to the material in the course.

The notes are meant to accompany, not replace, the recommended texts for the course.  The recommended texts are:

Main Economics Text:

Mas-Colell, Whinston, and Green, Microeconomic Theory, Oxford University Press (1995).

Supplementary Economics Texts:

Jehle and Reny, Advanced Microeconomic Theory, Second Edition, Addison Wesley Longman (2001).

Please Help Me:  The notes are publicly available for anyone to download.  However, I am curious to know where and how the notes are being used.  The form is optional, and you can skip any items you don't want to answer (including name and email address).  Information provided will only be used (anonymously) to convince people that this project is worthwhile.  Click here to send me an email (please include your name, country, city, university, department or program, and the course you are using the notes for, as well as any comments you might have).  There is also ample room for improvement in the notes.  If you have comments or find typos, please email me.

Are you willing to fill out a brief feedback form before downloading the notes?

Yes, if it's quick! No, just download!
