API 109: Advanced Microeconomic Analysis I

Description

This is the first semester of a rigorous two-semester sequence in advanced microeconomic analysis for MPAID students. Topics covered include consumer theory, producer theory, risk and behavior under uncertainty, partial equilibrium, and externalities. Theory is illustrated by relevant applications to international development and other areas. Prerequisites: Multivariate calculus and constrained optimization; intermediate microeconomics.

This MPAID course is open to non-MPAID students only by permission of instructor. May not be taken for credit with API-101.
