Years of Forum Videos Online

Interested in John Lewis’s thoughts about the Civil Rights Movement when he spoke in the Forum in 1998? Or what author Tom Wolfe said about “manliness” two years later? Thanks to the new online Forum archives project, you can watch the videos from these events from your computer for free, and in some cases, even read a written transcript or news story.

Since its founding in 1978, the Kennedy School’s Forum has hosted more than 1,700 events watched live by half a million people. But it’s only been during the past few years that people who couldn’t make an event or who lived elsewhere in the world could go back at a later date and watch archived videos of the world leaders, academic experts, and cultural icons who spoke.

The new archives project now includes videos from events dating back to 1978. Best of all, you don’t need to remember the date of an event: the archive is searchable by topic. To connect to the videos, old and new, go to http://ksgaccman.harvard.edu/iop/events_forum_listview.asp
