After the July 2006 parliamentary elections,
Internal Macedonian Revolutionary
Organisation-Democratic Party of Macedonian National Unity (VMRO-DPMNE)
formed a coalition government with Democratic Party of the Albanians (DPA),
New Social Democratic Party (NSDP) and several smaller parties. The new
government was confirmed in office by a parliamentary vote on August 26,
2006.
