VPN

The VPN client is used to create a secure connection to HKS servers, and encrypt all data passing from your machine to HKS. Those who wish to use the VPN client should have a high speed (cable or DSL) connection at home, connecting via phone modems is not supported.

 

Step 1: Make sure you are using Internet Explorer

Step 2: In Internet Explorer, Please click on Tools -> Internet Options

Step 3: Click on the Security tab

Step 4: Click on Trusted sites (green check mark)

Step 5: Click trusted, then click Sites button

Step 6: Type the web site https://webvpn.ksg.harvard.edu, and click Add

Step 7: Click OK

Step 8: Open your browser to https://webvpn.ksg.harvard.edu and type your HKS intranet Username and password. Click Login

Step 9:You should now see a small KEY in the task bar. This means you are securely connected to the HKS network. If you receive an error window the installation did not go as planned. You will need to close your browser window and start again.
