Network Maintenance
Below is the schedule for routine network maintenance. Regular maintenance is usually scheduled for the last Friday of the month after hours, scheduled maintenance will be announced in HKS Today. If you have any questions please contact our help line 495-1984.
Servers Affected by Standard Maintenance
- HKSStudent - All student mail
- HKSMail - All faculty/staff mail server
- HKSNotes - Notes database and intranet logon
- HKSApps - Shared storage on L: drive and any applications that may run off of your O: drive
- The HKS Web site - http://www.ksg.harvard.edu/
- HKSHome - Your M: drive
- HKSAdmin - Your H: drive
It is also necessary to conduct occasionally unscheduled maintenance to repair unexpected network problems. Should the HKS servers require unexpected maintenance IT Services will notify the HKS community via a variety of methods, depending on the severity of the problem. Generally, we use network broadcasts, E-Mail, and Voice Mail.
