Based at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, the Harvard Electricity Policy Group (HEPG) was founded in 1993 in response to ongoing changes in the US electricity industry.

The Energy Technology Innovation Policy research group at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, under the auspices of the Energy Policy Programs initiative at the Kennedy School and in collaboration with the Harvard University Center for Environment, will be hosting a major policy conference, entitled Acting in Time on Energy Policy.

The two-day conference will address public policy dimensions of the following topics: oil and transportation; climate change; carbon capture and storage; electricity structure and infrastructure; and energy-technology innovation.
