Robert D. Behn is the faculty Chair of Driving Government Performance. He focuses his research and teaching on governance, leadership, and strategies for improving the performance of public agencies. Bob conducts custom-designed executive-education programs for public agencies and has taught executive seminars in half the states as well as in Berlin, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Reykjavik, Sydney, and Bangkok. His books include Rethinking Democratic Accountability and Leadership Counts: Lessons for Public Managers. Bob is also the author of Performance Leadership: 11 Better Practices That Can Ratchet Up Performance and writes the on-line monthly, Bob Behn's Public Management Report.
