The figures below are the costs of attendance for the 2008-2009 academic year at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University (HKS).  Tuition and fees are subject to change without notice.

Dependent Costs for MPP, MPA2, MC/MPA, MPA/ID, and PhD Programs

A dependent is defined as a spouse or child (21 years old or younger) of the student.

  Maintenance:
One Dependent: $8,100
Two Dependents: $14,400
Three Dependents: $18,900
For Each Additional Dependent: $4,500
Mandatory Health Fee (UHS) - Summer, Fall and Spring Terms*:  
One Dependent: $1,792
Two Dependents: $2,584
Three or more Dependents: $2,982
Mandatory Hospital Insurance (BC/BS) Summer, Fall and Spring Terms*:  
One Dependent $1,762
Two Dependents $2,818
Three or more Dependents $3,348

* Hospital insurance (BC/BS) is required for all dependents in addition to the University Health Services (UHS). Health care costs in the United States are exorbitant and lack of insurance or inability to pay could prevent your spouse or child from receiving medical care.
