The figures below are the costs of attendance for the 2008-2009 academic year at the John F Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University (HKS).  Tuition and fees are subject to change without notice.

A dependent is defined as a spouse or child (21 years old or younger) of the student.

One Dependent:  
Maintenance $9,900
Mandatory University Health Services Fees (UHS & BC/BS)*:

Academic Year- Fall and Spring Terms $3,554
Two Dependents:  
Maintenance $17,600
Mandatory University Health Services Fees (UHS & BC/BS)*:  
Summer Session $630
Academic Year- Fall and Spring Terms $5,402
Three Dependents:  
Maintenance $22,400
Mandatory University Health Services Fees (UHS & BC/BS)*:  
Summer Session $945
Academic Year- Fall and Spring Terms $6,330
For Each Additional Dependent:

* Hospital insurance (BC/BS) is required for all dependents in addition to the University Health Services (UHS). Health care costs in the United States are exorbitant and lack of insurance or inability to pay could prevent your spouse or child from receiving medical care.
