HKS Group on LinkedIn

What is LinkedIn?

LinkedIn is an online network of more than 11 million experienced professionals from around the world, representing 150 industries. When you join, you create a profile that summarizes your professional accomplishments. Your profile helps you find, and be found by, former colleagues, clients and partners. You can add more connections by inviting trusted contacts to join LinkedIn and connect to you. Your network consists of your connections, your connections’ connections, and the people they know, linking you to thousands of qualified professionals.

(Of special note to the HKS community, LinkedIn’s current CEO is Dan Nye, son of our own Professor Joseph Nye.)

What is a LinkedIn Group?

Joining the group will give you instant access to other members of the group, without having to go through other LinkedIn members to connect, like you do as an individual member. It will allow faculty and staff to stay in touch with students and alumni as they move on from HKS.

How to Join

Go to the HKS Group Page at LinkedIn.  If you do not already have a LinkedIn account, you will be prompted to set one up at the HKS group page.

Please note that when you join, you will go into a "pending status."  You will be moved from pending to active within one week. To help expedite the process, please add your HKS/KSG email address to your LinkedIn account. This is to ensure that only members of the HKS community are admitted to the group. Your membership will be manually approved by an OCA staff member.

The group feature on LinkedIn is relatively new and they are continuously working to improve it and add more features. Please be patient as the site improves and the HKS group grows.
