IGA concentrators will engage in an intensive program of study, completing foundational courses pertaining to international and global affairs. These courses will cover a wide range of subjects including international relations theory, international history, the organizations and norms of global governance, and transnational issues relating to public health and the earth’s resource and environmental systems. Concentrators may also choose electives in specific topics relevant to their interests and career plans. In addition to their IGA courses, concentrators will complete the MPP Core Curriculum and will therefore receive the same fundamental training as all other MPP students.
International and Global Affairs (IGA) concentrators may choose elective courses from the full range of Harvard Kennedy School’s extensive course offerings.
A select group of IGA concentrators will have the opportunity to conduct research with HKS faculty, senior staff, and fellows. This will allow students to offset tuition expenses while connecting to cutting-edge policy analysis and valuable mentorship.
