Christine M. Cole Christine most recently worked at the Springfield (MA) Police Department as the Director of Business and Technology. In that capacity she instituted technological and business solutions department wide. Christine served as the Chief of Staff at the Executive Office of Public Safety, which serves as the policy shop for law enforcement, corrections and homeland security in Massachusetts. It has policy, budget and managerial oversight of 17 state agencies and 24 boards and commissions. She was the Director of Planning and Development at the Crime and Justice Institute, a 125 year old nonprofit agency in Boston that specializes in advancing criminal justice policy. At CJI she developed programs, policies, performance measures and guiding principles for community-based corrections programs. Christine was a chief architect of the community policing strategy and implementation in the Lowell (MA) Police Department. She worked there as policy advisor and community liaison. Prior to that she worked for the Middlesex District Attorney in Massachusetts as a victim witness advocate, providing crisis intervention services and supportive counseling for victims of crime. Christine has a Master in Public Administration from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, a Master in Community and Social Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, and a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College in Special Education and Human Development.
