Herman Z. Bennett is Visiting Lecturer in Public Policy. He is an economist with the International Monetary Fund and a former economist with the Central Bank of Chile. His policy work and research span a range of topics, including monetary, exchange rate, fiscal, financial, and labor policies. His current work focuses on international competitiveness in the euro area, the role of banks' funding strategy during the recent financial market turmoil, and policy applications of credit risk management tools. He has lectured courses in statistics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and courses in economics at Pontificia Universidad Catlica de Chile. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Santiago College. Herman holds a PhD in Economics from MIT.
